Loopy Leaves

Loopy Leaves has a chunky middle where you can attach other flowers, plus holes for adding stems or other leafy creations. Shapely semi-circular leaves to add to the total effect.

trc (UK dtr) - yo twice, insert hook into st, yo, pull yarn through st; (yo, pull yarn through 2 loops) 3 times.

Loopy Leaves Pattern

Round 1: ch 5, 17 trc into 5th ch from hook; ss into top of 5 ch to join. SM this ss as we work our last ss of the next round into it.

Don't be afraid to push those sts around the center as you go so they sit nicely around the center.

Round 2: ch 7, skip next st (the 1st trc of the last round) sc into next st, ss into next st;

*ch 7, skip next st, sc into next st, ss into next st*

Repeat from * to * 4 times, working your last ss into the ss at the end of Round 1 (stitch marked.)

Round 3: *(1 sc, 2 hdc, 5 dc, 2 hdc, 1 sc) into next loop*

Repeat from * to * 5 times. Ss into 1st sc of round to join.

Tie off; weave this end into the back, starting at the beginning of the base of the 1st petal - and then down around the middle.
