My 2-Round Crochet Heart is quick and easy to work up, takes a couple of minutes:

This heart is worked in Aran-weight with a 4.5 mm hook and measures just over 1¼"/3 cm across.
US Terms
Round 1: ch 2; 6 sc into 2nd ch from hook, join with a ss into
1st sc. Stitch mark the ss if you like, as we will join into it at the
end.
Round 2: ch 1; 3 dc into same stitch you joined into; 1 sc into each of next 2 stitches.
ch 2, ss into 2nd ch from hook (picot made); ch 1.
1 sc into each of next 2 stitches, 3 dc into next stitch, ch 1, ss into ss from Round 1 (stitch marked.)
Weave this end from front to back under the back loop of the ss you joined into, then into the back of the piece.
UK Terms
